2014 Kia Optima
Parkway Family Kia celebrates the 2014
Kia Optima and is great success and recognition this year. The Optima made a
splash at the 2013 New York International Auto Show. The vehicle was refreshed
in multiple ways and the family is giving a large amount of support to the Optima
line through many different incentives and additives. Just three years ago, Kia
turned the automotive world on its head when Peter Schreyer- penned Optima
mid-sized sedan was unveiled. Since that time, Optima has become Kia’s sales
leader, selling more than 150,000 units last year and gaining worldwide acclaim
for its European-inspired design and fun-to-drive performance. The 2014 Optima,
built in the U.S. at Kia’s West Point, GA, facility (KMMG), arrives with
updated front and rear fascias (decorative
panels of a car's dashboard, or the entire dashboard assembly), retaining the
vehicle’s dynamic and sporty proportions. Available in LX, EX, SX, SX Turbo and
SX-Limited trims, the Optima’s new premium amenities and convenience options
make Optima an impressive player in the competitive mid-sized sedan segment.
“With the latest
version of the Optima, Kia continues to advance values to new levels of
sophistication, offering mid-sized sedan consumers new premium amenities and
convenience upgrades, as well as a refinement of the world-class design that so
completely transformed our brand,” said Michael Sprague, executive vice
president, marketing and communications, KMA. “The Optima is the cornerstone of
Kia’s design evolution and epitomizes the brand’s goal of building
highly-captivating, value positioned vehicles.”
The Parkway Family Kia
sales staff is committed to have the utmost knowledge on the Optima, because in
a mid-sized segment long dominated by function over desirability, the 2014
Optima cements the model’s status as a trailblazer of combining style and
substance in an affordably priced vehicle. Refining the Optima’s sculpted,
high-end appearance, Kia’s Frankfurt-based design team improved the brand’s
signature tabbed grille. The vehicle’s bold stance and aerodynamic shape are
further accentuated by updated rear diffusers and a sweeping trunk lid. Lighting
up the European- inspired design are striking front LED positioning and fog
lights, along with clear, newly designed Led rear lamps which help the vehicle
with its visibility on the open Houston roads.
To complement the upgrade to
aesthetics, the vehicle has been overhauled in a very large way in regards to
safety. The safety features that are embodied in the vehicle could be called
state of the art. The following features are standard on all Optima models, and
are what makes the vehicle continue to be a hot seller. The Dual Front Advanced
air bags while coupled with fitted seat belts, help detect the presence of a
front seat passenger, monitors the severity of an impact, and controls airbag
inflation accordingly to help reduce injuries in certain collisions. 4- Wheel
disc brakes with ABS serve at the foundation of the Optima’s active safety
system. It uses electronic sensors at each wheel hub to detect when wheels
begin to skid. If skidding under braking is detected, ABS modulates brake force
to reduce skidding which in turn allows for reduced braking distances in
addition to helping you maintain control of the vehicle. The Traction Control
System (TCS) can sense wheel spin during acceleration. Using a combination of
engine power and brake force, power is transferred to the wheels that have the
most traction offering increased control.
The upgrades to the aesthetics
and the safety are more than compelling for anyone that is in the market to
purchase a vehicle. The added value and lower price point allow it to rival its
higher in competition in the sedan class. If you are in need of making driving
a luxury and not a chore and are located in the Greater Houston, Kingwood,
Humble, or Atascosita are, come and see the sales professionals at Parkway Family Kia. They will have all the answers and knowledge
you could ask for as a customer with taste impeccable enough to consider Kia as
your vehicular provider.
